I don’t! But we’ll get you one right now. It’s super easy! So, obviously let’s start by getting your text all set up. I’m using the font Bemio.

Paste your texture, image, or whatever over the text. (I’m using this one just in case you’re curious.)

Right click on your texture/image/whatever layer and click this.

I added a style on top so you could actually see what it looked like.

Then you’re done!

We’ll be learning to do what you asked about, which is how to make clean cut outs/selections/pngs/renders of different images (like the one below ~). Imo, this is one of the best ways to make clean cut outs that preserve detail. This can get a bit confusing if you’re not used to using these tools (channels, calculations, etc.) but I’ll try to make it simple.

They aren’t using Photoshop they’re using Adobe Aftereffects, which I don’t use/have knowledge about. There is a video on YouTube that might help you here:

I’m guessing that you create the typography motion graphic on a black background, so when you export it you can just import it to photoshop and place it’s layers on screen, which then makes it transparent over a gif.
